Black crowberry is a small bush which belongs to the heath family (Ericaceae). Although its fruits look tasty, they are not suitable for eating - they are poisonous.

On the ground, within the forest bed and mosses careful observer will find great diverse of lichens (Cladonia). Some of them create whole grasslands thickly branched little bushes - wood carpet of surface lichens.

Bardzkie Mountains constitute the southern part of Middle Sudety. The whole range, is about 200 km long and is divided into two parts by the gorge of Nysa Kłodzka river - named Bardzki Gorge.
